President Hinckley has counseled parents: “Read to your children. Read the story of the Son of God. Read to them from the New Testament. Read to them from the Book of Mormon. It will take time, and you are very busy, but it will prove to be a great blessing in your lives as well as in their lives. And there will grow in their hearts a great love for the Savior of the world, the only perfect man who walked the earth. He will become to them a very real living being, and His great atoning sacrifice as they grow to manhood and womanhood, will take on a new and more glorious meaning in their lives” (quoted in Church News, 6 Dec. 1997, 2)

  1. What a fun blog ~ kids do pick up on things very quickly. I found your blog while checking out Kelsie's blog ~ she lives down the street from me and recently moved into our ward. We have a funny story by our 4 year old granddaughter whose father's name is ADAM. Her mom was teaching her the Article's of Faith and so Taylor (granddaughter) calls me up to recite the first two Articles of Faith to me and did the first one perfectly then proceeded to give the second one as follows: "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins and not my daddy's problems." Pretty funny. I think I forgot to blog about that... better get it in there one of these days. Anyway, nice to "meet" you.
