President Hinckley has counseled parents: “Read to your children. Read the story of the Son of God. Read to them from the New Testament. Read to them from the Book of Mormon. It will take time, and you are very busy, but it will prove to be a great blessing in your lives as well as in their lives. And there will grow in their hearts a great love for the Savior of the world, the only perfect man who walked the earth. He will become to them a very real living being, and His great atoning sacrifice as they grow to manhood and womanhood, will take on a new and more glorious meaning in their lives” (quoted in Church News, 6 Dec. 1997, 2)

So you missed out on the Quiet Book?
If you gohere, there's a competition going on where you can win something similar.
What a fun blog ~ kids do pick up on things very quickly. I found your blog while checking out Kelsie's blog ~ she lives down the street from me and recently moved into our ward. We have a funny story by our 4 year old granddaughter whose father's name is ADAM. Her mom was teaching her the Article's of Faith and so Taylor (granddaughter) calls me up to recite the first two Articles of Faith to me and did the first one perfectly then proceeded to give the second one as follows: "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins and not my daddy's problems." Pretty funny. I think I forgot to blog about that... better get it in there one of these days. Anyway, nice to "meet" you.

About This Blog
I have a toddler (LQ) who has just turned 2. She surprised me earlier this year by folding her arms and bowing her head when we were saying a prayer. I am ashamed to admit that there was never any concerted effort to teach her how to pray, but she has learned despite our relaxed efforts.
It was this little action that made me realise that my child has probably been ready to learn gospel related teachings for many months now. I have researched Toddler Scripture Study online and have come up with a few good websites, but nothing with all resources at your fingertips in the one place.
I am hoping I can encourage other toddler mummies to start a regular scripture study time with their child, by providing weekly suggestions and activities. I would love to post other's success stories, so if you have one, email me at toddlerscripture@gmail.com
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If you have any questions about my religion, please feel free to email me, leave a comment or you can go to www.mormon.org
